Finally, former Cy Young award winners face off in Cleveland as Chris Carpenter challenges Cliff Lee. If Chris can stay healthy the rest of the season he can certainly make a run at the award again. He’s walked just six batters and allowed one home run in 44 innings, while holding hitters to a .163 batting average. Lee’s ERA of 3.17 is very good for someone with a .301 BA against him. That’s up from .253 last year and accounts for his increase in ERA this season.
