Felipe Lopez & Max Scherzer (Diamondbacks):
The second error came on a fly ball to right that Justin Upton allowed to hit off his glove; one batter later, second baseman Felipe Lopez let Bobby Abreu's grounder go under his glove for the inning's third error and the fourth of the game for Arizona.
Scherzer (5-5), who was unable to make it out of the fifth, wound up being charged with eight runs, though only three were earned, in 4 1/3 innings.

Aaron Laffey's third rehab appearance in his return from a strained right oblique was a rough one on Sunday. In 3 1/3 innings for Double-A Akron, Laffey allowed three runs on five hits with six walks, two strikeouts and a hit by pitch. Still, he might be ready to rejoin the Indians' rotation later this week. If Laffey does, it's expected he'd take the rotation spot of Tomo Ohka.

-- Shelton A., Silver Spring, Md.
Hitting coach Rick Eckstein has done everything he can to get Kearns back on track, but nothing has worked. I think Belliard needs to play every day to get his bat going, but his playing time with this team has been decreasing. Anderson Hernandez and Alberto Gonzalez are splitting time at second base.
