This correspondent's all-time Cardinals team is so talented, it doesn't even include the first player to reach 70 home runs in a season or the last player to win the Triple Crown in the National League. It does not include a lefthanded pitcher who won more than 300 games, and it does not feature the Hall of Fame player-manager who piloted the famed Gashouse Gang teams in the mid-1930s.
