More Foreign-Born Players Climbing The Ranks In Cardinals Organization

Two foreign-born players have been added to the Springfield roster since the start of the season.
And more could be on the way.

The parent St. Louis Cardinals have boosted their international scouting operation since Jeff Luhnow took over as vice president of player development in 2003. The team started a training academy in Venezuela in 2004 and opened one in the Dominican Republic the next year.
