JD Drew is out...Drew says his hamstring feels much better than it did late in Sunday's Yankee game. He's about to take batting practice and run a bit.

Braden Looper (Brewers):
Looper exited after five innings with a 5-3 lead. He was charged with two earned runs on six hits with four walks and matched a career high with seven strikeouts, five days after he didn't whiff a single batter in Philadelphia. But like Braun, Looper wasn't particularly happy after the game.

Placido Polanco (Tigers):
Until the later innings, Verlander needed those zeros to keep the Tigers (11-8) up against Yankees ace CC Sabathia (1-2). Placido Polanco's double and Miguel Cabrera's RBI single in the opening inning comprised the only scoring of the game until the sixth, when Curtis Granderson's bunt single started a one-out rally.
Polanco doubled in Granderson, then came home on Magglio Ordonez's second home run in three days.
