Sportsman Park in St. Louis was the home to Major League Baseball All-Star games in 1940, 1948 and 1957 but goes unknown to many of the town's youth. That may soon change, as land near where the legendary stadium once stood will soon be home to a new youth ballpark.

As a lasting reminder of hosting the Major League Baseball All-Star Game this summer, the Cardinals plan to construct a landmark near a crossroads in the city's rich baseball history — the former site of Sportsman's Park.
