Dmitri Young, who has only four at bats this spring, is still nursing back tightness. Acta said there is no timetable for his return.
"Dmitri is still working with our medical staff and he's getting better, but unless he's ready to go, we're not going to put him on the field," Acta said. "Maybe when he's ready to go we'll put him on the back fields (Minor League camp) to get him at bats."
Being a non-roster invitee doesn't help Young's chances of making the team if he can't remain healthy.
"Not being on the 40-man, we have to see him and make a decision at the end of camp," he said. "I don't think anyone gets help by not being healthy and being in camp."
