A Bit More On Kip Wells

Here's one thing you have to know about Kip Wells: His pitching coach during his most successful days in Pittsburgh was Spin Williams, who now coordinates the Nationals' minor league pitching program. From 2002-03, Wells posted a 3.43 ERA in 64 starts for the Pirates.

The Washington Nationals today agreed to terms on a non-guaranteed minor-league contract with right-handed pitcher Kip Wells. Nationals Vice President of Baseball Operations and Assistant General Manager Mike Rizzo made this announcement.
