That Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina was named winner of his first Rawlings Gold Glove on Wednesday was not a surprise to Cardinals manager Tony La Russa, who has watched Molina's progress in the majors since 2003. But it did come as something of an upset to Molina, who got the news from his agent in Puerto Rico.
