Cardinals outfielder Rick Ankiel was in Philadelphia on Friday to see a specialist about an abdominal strain that has lingered for nearly two months. Ankiel met with Dr. William Meyers, a surgeon who recently repaired Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Kevin Curtis' sports hernia. The team released a statement that said "it appears likely he will undergo surgery in the near future."
