Ex-Cardinals Watch 9-2-08: Hernandez Traded; Rundles, Rincon, & Reyes Called Up; Anderson Activated

David Eckstein(Diamondbacks):
David Eckstein has always had great success in red uniforms, and the D-backs hope it's a trend that continues.
Eckstein Happy To Don New Shade Of Red

Rich Rundles(Indians):

Hafner Not Likely Among First Callups

Ricardo Rincon, Al Reyes, & Marlon Anderson(Mets):

Michel Hernandez(Rays):
The Rays acquired infielder Jorge Velandia and catcher Michael Hernandez for Triple-A Durham's postseason roster for cash considerations. Velandia was acquired from Cleveland and Hernandez was acquired from Pittsburgh.
