Daric Barton(Athletics):
First baseman Daric Barton will get the six staples out of the top of his head today, the remnants from his dive into a too-shallow pool July 13. He'll also head to Albuquerque to begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Sacramento, and he'll move to Round Rock, Texas, with the River Cats before returning to Oakland.

At some point, possibly in early August, Padres second baseman Tadahito Iguchi, on the disabled list since May with a separated shoulder, is going to rejoin the team.

Jack Wilson(Pirates):
The old-school high-socks look did its duty for Jack Wilson on Monday. The hit didn't fall until the ninth inning, but now Wilson can return the pants he borrowed from Doug Mientkiewicz and go back to the more modern uniform look on Tuesday.
