Kip Wells(Rockies):
Recovering from a blood clot in his right hand, pitcher Kip Wells is still a ways away from helping the Rockies. "He needs more work," Hurdle said Sunday, adding that Wells will get one more start with Double-A Tulsa before Colorado returns from the All-Star break. In a July 11 outing with Triple-A Colorado Springs, Wells surrendered six earned runs in 4 1/3 innings, bringing his totals during this rehabilitation assignment to 0-3 with an 8.84 ERA, including 15 strikeouts to go along with 32 hits allowed in a combined 18 1/3 innings.
