Naples Daily News Baseball Player of the Year Justin Leith of Barron Collier was picked by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 31st round of the Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft on Friday.
Leith, a pitcher, has signed with Florida International University.

Not 48 hours after Barron Collier coach Ted Parsons predicted there would be "a slim chance" star Justin Leith would get plucked in Major League Baseball's First-Year Player Draft, the lefthander was selected in the 31st round (935th overall) by St. Louis on Friday.
