It’s not typical to talk about curses in St. Louis (that’s usually left to the whiners in Chicago and Boston), but there is one particular hex that has haunted the Cardinals for the last several years. There are no ghosts or goats involved, just a particular brand of pitcher that consistently mows down Cardinal hitters: the soft tossing lefty. Cardinal fans who remember those brutal games against Tom Glavine, Jamie Moyer, Tom Gorzelanny and the rest know what I’m talking about.
