6. Colby Rasmus, St. Louis Cardinals

Rasmus was reassigned to the minors on Monday, March 17th, and will have to wait to show us some of that power potential. It looked like the Edmonds departure would clear a spot for the center fielder, but he will get some more seasoning in the minors. He should still get some time in this season and should help fantasy owners right away. He has a great power-speed combination and would be a 20-20 threat right away at the major league level but he might struggle initially with his average. If this list were based on long-term projections, then the 21-year-old Rasmus would be rated number two.
