A second audition for Benson
Kris Benson Orioles Interested: Cardinals? Giants? Phillies? Astros?
Kris Benson is scheduled to audition for several interested teams on Feb. 5, his agent, Gregg Clifton, told ESPN.com's Jayson Stark on Monday.
Benson, who is recovering from rotator-cuff surgery, is about "90 percent healthy," Clifton said, and is expected to sign an incentive-based contract in early February. The Cardinals, Astros, Phillies and Giants top the list of teams known to have interest in the 33-year-old right-hander.
Benson worked out for eight teams last month, then took 15 days off before resuming throwing again. He threw 55 pitches off a mound Monday, Clifton said, and expects to throw substantially more than that in his workout next week.

jrocke217 says: see told ya so....couple days ago this came up & the phillies were the only ones that had confirmed to be going. didn't mozeliak say he wasn't looking at anymore starting pitchers?
