Jeong Jae Chul said that to him playing baseball is a priority rather than going to America. He started playing baseball in the fourth grade at Baek-Woon Elementary School and he graduated from Cheong Wong Middle School and Cheong Wong High School. He has just finished at Seong Gyoon University. When asked if he has any history of rewards (MVP/Championships), he replied that he had not.

Jeong Jae said that he had been dreaming of breaking out of his slump. He looked diligent and focused despite not having the best raw talent. "I don't know yet if I should go." This writer completely agrees with him.
