Less than a couple weeks after the White Sox picked up his $4.5-million option for 2008, Chicago’s GM Ken Williams acquired Cabrera. Williams said in a press conference is goal is now trade Uribe somewhere to be a starter. A natural suitor is St. Louis. With Detroit, the White Sox and San Francisco all having addressed their shortstop needs — the White Sox doing so twice — the list of teams looking for a shortstop is … well, short:
