is there any word on any catchers the cardinals may be looking at as a back up to yadier molina? we all know bryan anderson is not ready just yet even if he stays in the cardinals system. what about say mike lieberthal who was cut loose by the dodgers?thanks

Jeff Gordon: Cody Haerther got waived, due to all his injury woes. Taguchi was turned loose, for now. To be honest, most of those Memphis vets are pretty disposable. There was some complaining at the great Future Redbirds site about Brian Falkenborg and Kelvin Jimenez still being on the list . . .

Jeff Gordon: Narveson went from the front burner to off the stove, again. With the Cards system producing a lot of pitchers and position players in a hurry, you can expect a lot of turnover. Much of that Springfield team moves up a notch.
