As I was enjoying Chris Reed’s inaugural article for I-70 Baseball, When Will David Freese Run Out Of Chances?, I couldn’t help but think back of another player from the late 70′s that had a similar run-in with bad karma. That young man was Silvio Martinez, a little right-hander that looked like a slight breeze might blow off the mound, but possessed one of the liveliest arms of his era.
