It Seems Unlikely We'll Get To Watch The Cardinals Play Baseball This Year
It looks, after the latest fruitless exchange between Major League Baseball owners and players, it seems like we’re down to two options: a 48-game season or nothing.

Players Call MLB's Financial Proposal 'Extremely Disappointing'
A rookie at the major league minimum would keep about 47% of his original salary this year while multimillionaire stars Mike Trout and Gerrit Cole would lose more than 77% under a sliding-scale proposal by big league teams that players found “extremely disappointing.”

Player Of The Century? So Far, It's Albert Pujols
Mike Trout was the Player of the Decade, without question, hands down, either as an MVP or MVP contender just about every single year. If he is blessed with good health, he may be discussed some day with Willie Mays and Mickey Mantle at his best and Hank Aaron as one of the greatest all-around players of all time, even without much of a postseason resume. So far he has played just three postseason games in his career, with one hit, a home run.

Where Will Albert Pujols Finish On All-Time Home Run List?
Not having a full 162-game season in 2020 will undoubtedly affect how far Albert Pujols can climb up baseball's all-time home runs list. If there doesn't end up being a 2020 season at all - as opposed to a shortened season - that will be devastating for the 40-year-old.

This Is The Biggest Trash Talker On Every Team
Whether it be on the field after making a big play or in the clubhouse during a pregame ping-pong tournament (or even online in the MLB The Show Players League), every team seems to have that one player who likes to talk a little bit -- or, in some cases, a lot -- of trash.

With the spread of the novel coronavirus threatening Major League Baseball's 2020 season, the league and the union continue to seek ways to salvage the year as best they can. Predictably, that has entailed any number of proposals and contingency plans, including those that would see teams either all isolated in Arizona, or split between Arizona and Florida. On Monday, multiple league sources informed CBS Sports about a different idea that has been discussed in recent days.
