Dominican Prospect League Joins Professional July 2nd Parallel League For The Summer
The Dominican Prospect League is excited to announce that we will compete every Wednesday through the month of July and August in the July 2nd Parallel League featuring the top International prospects who have agree to professional contracts. The league commissioner Paul Kruger (Texas Rangers International ops) has organized the schedule that will consist of 5 MLB organizations including Boston Redsox, St Louis Cardinals, New York Mets, Cleveland Indians, Texas Rangers and the DPL Elite Travel Team. All games will be played with an instructional league structure at MLB facilities in the Dominican Republic.

Red Sox Sign Deoscar Romero
The Red Sox have agreed to terms with a pair of 16-year-old Dominican prospects, according to team Senior Vice President of Player Personnel and International Scouting Craig Shipley. Shortstop Raymer Flores and right-hander Deoscar Romero both have agreed to terms with the Sox; the contracts will become official tomorrow, when the two players sign their contracts. Romero will receive a $600,000 bonus. ESPNDeportes.com reports that Flores will receive a $900,000 bonus.

The Dominican League Prospect, DPL, attracted the attention of more than fifty super-scout and scout, who packed the stands of the Cibao Stadium in the All-Star celebration in this league, attended with the best rookies in signing process of the Dominican Republic.
The day began with a 12:20 stretch, as the sky was clearing for a wonderful after noon packed with Prospects and entertainment. The players were amazed as they walked out of the clubhouse and through the tunnels of the historic stadium. "El Estadio Cibao".

Dominican Prospect League July 2nd All-Star Game Showcase
The venue is set, the players are excited and the signing date approaches. The DPL is proud to announce the July 2nd All-Star game showcase. The game will be played at the historic Estadio Cibao home of Las Aguilas Cibaeñas in Santiago, Dominican Republic on Saturday May 7th, 2011 @ 12:30 pm.
