Former Cardinals Playing In The Mexican League 8-8-19: Kevin Medrano Doubles Twice & Drives In Five Runs; Niko Vasquez Singles & Hits A Solo Home Run; Richy Pedroza Singles & Walks

Richy Pedroza (former Peoria-Aguascalientes) started at shortstop and batted leadoff.  1-for-4 with one run, one walk, one strikeout, and assisted in one double play.
Maikel Cleto (former St. Louis-Aguasclientes) entered in the eighth and pitched one inning.  He allowed one hit, two earned runs, two walks, and struck two out for the losing decision (2-2).  (p-s:30-17)(g/f:1-0)

Cedric Hunter (former Memphis-Leon) started as designated hitter and batted fifth.  1-for-3 with one double, two runs, one walk, and one strikeout.

Leon beat Aguascalientes 7-5

Niko Vasquez (former Springfield-Durango) started at shortstop and batted seventh.  2-for-4 with one home run, one RBI, one run, and assisted in two double plays.

Monclova beat Durango 11-7

Rainel Rosario (former Springfield-Saltillo) started in left field and batted sixth.  0-for-4 with one run and two walks.

Saltillo beat Dos Laredos 15-3

Xavier Scruggs (former St. Louis-Yucatan) started in right field and batted fifth.  0-for-3 with one ground into double play.

Quintana Roo beat Yucatan 11-3

Kevin Medrano (former 2011 draft selection-Mexico) started at second base and batted eighth.  2-for-4 with two doubles, five RBIs (three w/two-outs), one run, one strikeout, and assisted in three double plays.
