Kevin Medrano (former 2011 draft selection-Mexico) started at shortstop and batted eighth.  3-for-3 with one double, one home run, one RBI, two runs, and one sacrifice.

Niko Vasquez (former Springfield-Durango) started at shortstop and batted seventh.  1-for-4 with one RBI, one run, three strikeouts, and assisted in three double plays.

Alex Mejia (former St. Louis-Monclova) started at shortstop and batted second.  2-for-4 with one RBI.

Monclova beat Durango 6-4

Cedric Hunter (former Memphis-Leon) started in left field and batted sixth.  1-for-3 with one two-out RBI and one walk.

Richy Pedroza (former Peoria-Aguascalientes) started at shortstop and batted leadoff.  1-for-3 with two runs, two walks, and assisted in five double plays.

Leon beat Aguascalientes 7-5

Xavier Scruggs (former St. Louis-Yucatan) started at first base and batted fifth.  2-for-3 with one walk and one fielding error.

Yucatan beat Puebla 4-3
