Former Cardinals Playing In The Mexican League 7-19-19: Xavier Scruggs Hits A Two-Run Homer; Alex Mejia Singles Twice; Vicente Campos Pitched One Scoreless Inning For The Hold



Yefri Perez (former MiLB signing-Puebla) started in centerfield and batted leadoff.  1-for-4 with one double, one sacrifice, and one strikeout.
Vicente Campos (former MiLB signing-Puebla) entered in the seventh and pitched one inning.  He allowed one hit and no runs for the hold (2).  (p-s:15-11)(g/f:2-1)

Kevin Medrano (former 2011 draft selection-Mexico) entered late in the game as a pinch hitter and batted ninth.

Puebla beat Mexico 5-1

Alex Mejia (former St. Louis-Monclova) started at shortstop and batted second.  2-for-5 with two runs.

Monclova beat Monterrey 12-2

Xavier Scruggs (former St. Louis-Yucatan) started in right field and batted sixth.  1-for-4 with one home run, two two-out RBIs, one run, and two strikeouts.

Campeche beat Yucatan 5-3

Niko Vasquez (former Springfield-Tijuana) started as designated hitter and batted seventh.  1-for-2 with one run, one walk, and one strikeout.

Tijuana beat Dos Laredos 8-7
