Looking rationally at the St. Louis Cardinals this year, everyone knows they have not been living up to expectations. They have been subpar, and losing games that should be winnable. After losing the past four, the Cardinals stand just 2 games above .500, which puts them three games out of the Wild Card. What seems like a gloomy season for the Cardinals has one bright spot though. That bright spot is Jose Martinez.
