Former Cardinals Playing In The Mexican League 7-8-18: Iker Franco Singles Twice & Drives In Three Runs; Yefri Perez Singles & Hits A Solo Home Run, Richy Pedroza Singles Twice & Knocks In One Run



Iker Franco (former Springfield-Mexico) started at catcher and batted eighth.  2-for-4 with three RBIs (one w/two-outs) and two strikeouts.

Mexico beat Oaxaca 6-2

Yefri Perez (former MiLB signing-Monclova) started in right field and batted second.  2-for-5 with one home run, one RBI, two runs, one strikeout, and one throwing error.

Rainel Rosario (former Springfield-Saltillo) started in right field and batted fourth.  2-for-4 with two strikeouts.

Monclova beat Saltillo 7-3

Amaury Cazana (former Memphis-Dos Laredos) entered late in the game as a pinch hitter and batted seventh.  0-for-1 at the plate.
Nestor Molina (former MiLB signing-Dos Laredos) started and pitched six innings.  He allowed nine hits, four earned runs, one home run, two walks, threw one wild pitch, and struck five out for the losing decision (0-2).  (p-s:106-71)(g/f:7-2)

Richy Pedroza (former Peoria-Aguascalientes) started at shortstop and batted second.  2-for-3 with one two-out RBI, one sacrifice, and assisted in two double plays.

Aguascalientes beat Dos Laredos 4-1

Maikel Cleto (former St. Louis-Laguna) entered in the ninth and pitched one inning.  He allowed one hit, no runs, threw one wild pitch, and struck three out for the save (4).  (p-s:18-11)

Laguna beat Monterrey 2-0

Luis Garcia (former New Haven-Durango) started at first base and batted seventh.  1-for-2 with one double and one walk.

Durango beat Tijuana 3-1
