Former Cardinals Playing In The Mexican League 7-26-18: Niko Vasquez Singles & Hits A Grand Slam; Cedric Hunter Homers & Knocks In Three Runs; Joe Colon Retires One Batter & Holds Two Inherited Runners On Base For The Save

Yefri Perez (former MiLB signing-Monclova) started in right field and batted sixth.  1-for-4 at the plate.

Monterrey beat Monclova 6-1

Niko Vasquez (former Springfield-Leon) started at second base and batted third.  2-for-5 with one home run, four RBIs, two runs, one stolen base, one strikeout, grounded into one double play. and assisted in two double plays.
Cedric Hunter (former Memphis-Leon) started in centerfield and batted fourth.  1-for-5 with one home run, three two-out RBIs, and one run.
Joe Colon (former MiLB signing-Leon) entered in the ninth and pitched to one batter.  He allowed no hits or runs for the save (6).  (p-s:1-1)(g/f:1-0)(ir-s:2-0)

Leon beat Quintana Roo 11-8

Iker Franco (former Springfield-Mexico) started at catcher and batted eighth.  0-for-3 at the plate.

Maikel Cleto (former St. Louis-Yucatan) entered in the eighth and pitched two innings.  He allowed two hits, two unearned runs, one intentional walk, and struck one out for the blown save (1) and winning decision (1-0).  (p-s:35-26)(g/f:4-1)(ir-s:1-1)

Richy Pedroza (former Peoria-Aguascalientes) started at shortstop and batted second.  0-for-4 with one RBI, one throwing error, and assisted in two double plays.
