As is the case with living, the art of pitching is all about learning. Live — or pitch — well, and you’re likely applying what you’ve learned. When Cardinals starter Miles Mikolas went to Japan for three years, he was learning in a different environment. While there, he gained knowledge of himself that he has since applied for great success. Since he’s repeating that process in front of us right now, there’s a chance the All-Star can continue his great run — even as hitters are seeing him more often and adjusting to his stuff.
