Yadier Molina Suspended For One Game, Appeal Pending

D-backs manager Torey Lovullo and Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina have each received a one-game suspension from Major League Baseball for "inappropriate actions" during the second inning of Sunday's contest at Busch Stadium.

A day after the St. Louis Cardinals general manager and manager assumed their catcher would be clear of punishment, MLB has announced that Yadier Molina has been suspended one game for his actions in Sunday's altercation with mananger Torey Lovullo and umpire Tim Timmons. Joe Torre, Chief Baseball Officer for Major League Baseball, made the announcement, Tuesday.
