If he can't offer more than five innings without giving up 4-5 earned runs, he needs to be yanked. Unlike Wainwright, Wacha may offer the bullpen a lightning rod that lasts 1-3 innings. In a tightly wound divisional race, the Cardinals can't afford to give Wacha too much time.
