The Chicago White Sox will be the first interleague visitors for the Cardinals for a two-game set, which will be reprised in Chicago in July. The White Sox are 3-2 at Busch III but 5-9 in St. Louis overall and 11-15 against the Cardinals since interleague play began. And interleague play has been the Cardinals’ undoing the last couple of years. In 2016, they finished 1-9 in interleague play at home and wound up one game out of a playoff berth. Last year, they were 8-12 in interleague competition overall.
