Former Cardinals Playing In The Mexican League 4-28-18: Daric Barton Singles, Walks, & Drives In One Run; Angel Castro Strikes Out Two & Allows Two Runs Over Five & Two-Thirds Innings For The Win; Yefri Perez Doubles Twice



Yefri Perez (former MiLB signing-Monclova) started in centerfield and batted leadoff.  2-for-6 with two doubles, two runs, three strikeouts, and one throwing error.

Richy Pedroza (former Peoria-Aguascalientes) started at shortstop and batted second.  1-for-4 with one walk and assisted in two double plays.

Ivan Bellazetin (former MiLB tryout-Dos Laredos) started at second base and batted ninth.  0-for-2 and one fielding error.
Nestor Molina (former MiLB signing-Dos Laredos) started and pitched six innings.  He allowed six hits, four runs (three earned), four walks, threw one wild pitch, struck six out, and assisted in one double play for the losing decision (3-2).  (p-s: 113-63)(g/f:11-2)

Rainel Rosario (former Springfield-Saltillo) started in right field and batted fifth.  0-for-3 with one walk and grounded into one double play.

Tijuana beat Saltillo 3-1

Cedric Hunter (former Memphis-Leon) started in right field and batted fifth.  1-for-5 with one run and one strikeout.
Niko Vasquez (former Springfield-Leon) started at second base and batted sixth.  2-for-3 with one hit by pitch, one strikeout, one caught stealing, and assisted in one double play.
Angel Castro (former Memphis-Leon) started and pitched 5.2 innings.  He allowed eight hits, two runs (one earned), three walks, and struck two out for the winning decision (1-1).  (p-s:86-50)(g/f:8-4)

Leon beat Campeche 7-2

Daric Barton (former Peoria-Puebla) started at first base and batted third.  1-for-4 with one RBI, one run, one walk, and assisted in one double play.
