Former Cardinals Playing In The Mexican League 4-14-18: Raul Valdes Strikes Out Five & Allows One Run Over Six Innings For The Win; Daric Barton Singles Twice & Drives In Two Runs; Rainel Rosario Doubles



Barton (former Peoria-Puebla) started at first base and batted third.  2-for-4 with two RBIs (one w/two-outs), one strikeout, one throwing error, and assisted in one double play.

Luis Garcia (former New Haven-Oaxaca) started at first base and batted fourth.  0-for-3 with one strikeout and assisted in one double play.

Laguna beat Oaxaca 20-5

Rainel Rosario (former Springfield-Saltillo) started in right field and batted third.  1-for-4 with one double and one strikeout.
Raul Valdes (former St. Louis-Saltillo) started and pitched six innings.  He allowed nine hits, one earned run, and struck five out for the winning decision (3-0).  (p-s:87-52)(g/f:6-2)

Saltillo beat Tabasco 3-2

Cedric Hunter (former Memphis-Leon) started in right field and batted fifth.  1-for-4 with one run.

Richy Pedroza (former Peoria-Aguascalientes) started at shortstop and batted second.  0-for-2 with two walks and one strikeout.

Leon beat Aguascalientes 12-2

Ivan Bellazetin (former MiLB tryout-Dos Laredos) started at third base and batted second.  1-for-4 with one double, one run, and one strikeout.

Yucatan beat Dos Laredos 7-4

Pedro Rodriguez (former MiLB signing-Campeche) entered in the eighth and pitched to one batter.  He allowed one hit and no runs.  (p-s:2-1)(ir-s:1-1)
