Cardinal Nation’s reaction was one of sadness and acceptance when Albert Pujols signed a 10-year, $254 million contract with the Los Angeles Angels. Sad, because it felt like the best player in a generation cared more about money than the career he built here; and finally accepted because we knew that’d be a lot of cheddar down the road for a player entering his twilight years.
