Former Cardinals Draft Selections Playing In College 2-23-18: Joe Gillete Hits Two Home Runs & Drives In Five Runs; Adam Kerner Doubles, Walks, & Scores Two Runs; Jeremy Ydens Singles, Doubles, & Walks



Kep Brown (former 2015 draft selection-UNC Wilmington) started in right field and batted fourth.  1-for-3 with one walk and one strikeout.

UNC Wilmington beat Appalachian St. 2-0

Joe Gillette (former 2014 draft selection-Menlo College) started at third base and batted third.  2-for-4 with two home runs, five RBIs, two runs, and one strikeout.

Westmont beat Menlo College 8-7

Cadyn Grenier (former 2015 draft selection-Oregon St) started at shortstop and batted second.  0-for-5 with one run and one strikeout.

Oregon St. beat Ohio St. 10-8

Tristan Hildebrandt (former 2014 draft selection-Hope International) started at shortstop and batted fifth.  0-for-4 with two strikeouts.

San Diego Christian beat Hope International 3-0

Adam Kerner (former 2017 draft selection-San Diego) started at catcher and batted eighth.  1-for-2 with one double, two runs, one walk, one stolen base, and one strikeout.

San Diego beat Michigan 5-1

Shane McCarthy (former 2017 draft selection-Seton Hall) started and pitched four innings.  He allowed five hits, six runs (four earned), two walks, hit one batter, threw one wild pitch, and struck one out for the losing decision (0-2).

USC Upstate beat Seton Hall 12-1

Jeremy Ydens (former 2016 draft selection-UCLA) started in right field and moved to left, batting second.  2-for-4 with one double, run, one walk, one strikeout, and one caught stealing.

UCLA beat Baylor 5-2
