With the weird announcements from the St. Louis Cardinals and San Francisco Giants that they are either no longer pursuing a trade for Miami Marlins and National League MVP Giancarlo Stanton or were flat-out rejected by him, we no longer have to pretend that they ever had a chance in the first place.
