Cubs Appear To Be Favorites To Land Bryce Harper

Over the last few years, many throughout the game talked as though Bryce Harper-to-the-Yankees was a sure thing. After New York acquired Giancarlo Stanton via trade, talk of Harper to the Bronx has died down considerably. The Yankees are out of the Harper sweepstakes, barring them flipping Stanton. They’re considered by industry folks to be the heavy favorites to acquire Baltimore Orioles third baseman Manny Machado when he becomes a free agent in 2018.
