The last time the Cardinals had played in Kansas City, in late June 2016, area high school and community college product Trevor Rosenthal had just been relieved of the closer’s duties he had performed for nearly three years for the Cardinals. When queried by family and friends what was going on, Rosenthal tried to explain the switch as best he could, but he knew he wasn’t healthy.
