Niko Vasquez (former Springfield-Leon) started at shortstop and batted fifth.  0-for-4 with two strikeouts.

Leon beat Puebla 4-1

Zach Phillips (former Memphis-Monclova) entered in the eighth and pitched one inning.  He allowed no hits or runs, one walk, and struck one out for the hold (6).  (p-s:17-10)(g/f:1-1)

Monclova beat Durango 8-6 in 12 innings
