When the Cardinals first sped rookie Magneuris Sierra from Class A to a series against Atlanta last month, manager Mike Matheny mused that it was “too bad we’re not going to surprise them” with the youngster’s lickety-split skills. The Braves had seen Sierra in spring, as had the next opponent, the Marlins.
