At 35-40 through their first 75 games of the season, the St. Louis Cardinals are off to their worst start since the 2007 season. They finished 78-84 that year despite being in a completely winnable division, ultimately taken by the Chicago Cubs with a 85-77 record. That team was coming off a World Series victory in 2006, and while those Cardinals had several aging players headed out of St. Louis, there were plenty of young, talented players ready to step up and move the Cardinals forward.
