Former Cardinals Playing In The Mexican League 5-19-17: Dan Johnson Singles, Doubles, & Hits A Solo Home Run; Niko Vasquez Singles, Walks, & Drives In One Run; Maikel Cleto Pitches On Hitless/Scoreless Inning For The Hold



Dan Johnson (former St. Louis-Puebla) started as designated hitter and batted sixth.  3-for-5 with one double, one home run, one RBI, and two runs.

Puebla beat Mexico 8-6 in 10 innings

Maikel Cleto (former St. Louis-Laguna) entered in the eighth and pitched one inning.  He allowed no hits or runs for the hold (2).  (p-s:9-6)(g/f:1-1)

Veracruz beat Laguna 3-2

Richy Pedroza (former Peoria-Aguascalientes) started at shortstop and batted ninth.  1-for-3 with one run, one walk, one stolen base, one strikeout, and assisted in one double play.

Aguascalientes beat Campeche 8-3

Rainel Rosario (former Springfield-Saltillo) started in right field and batted third.  0-for-4 with one strikeout and one outfield assist.

Ivan Bellazetin (former MiLB tryout-Tabasco) started at second base and batted second.  4-for-5 with two runs and assisted in one double play.

Tabasco beat Saltillo 8-0

Niko Vasquez (former Springfield-Leon) started at shortstop and batted fourth.  1-for-2 with one RBI, one walk, one sac fly, and one stolen base.

Tijuana beat Leon 5-4
