Albert Pujols hit his 500th home run in 2014. He’s one home run away from getting to 600. Next year, most likely, he will join the 3,000 hit club. All of these things will have happened for Pujols as a member of the Angels, but when it comes time for him to take his rightful place in Cooperstown, his Hall of Fame plaque almost undoubtedly will feature a Cardinals cap.
