Matt Holliday is gone after 7½ seasons with the club and Dexter Fowler is here for the next five seasons, presumably. Over the last two seasons when he battled injury, Holliday wasn’t the same consistent threat, but he still was the one hitter in the Cardinals’ lineup the opponents really feared.
