Former Cardinals Playing In The Mexican League 4-7-17: Angel Castro Strikes Out Five & Allows One Run Over Seven Innings; Iker Franco Drives In One Run; Daric Barton Singles & Walks Twice



Angel Castro (former Memphis-Monterrey) started and pitched seven innings.  He allowed six hits, one earned run, one walk, hit one batter, and struck five out.  (p-s:103-66)(g/f:5-7)

Durango beat Monterrey 3-2 in 11 innings

Richy Pedroza (former Peoria-Aguascalientes) started at shortstop and batted ninth.  0-for-2 with one run, one walk, one hit by pitch, and assisted in one double play.

Aguascalientes beat Mexico 9-3

Daric Barton (former Peoria-Monclova) started at first base and batted fourth.  1-for-3 with one run, two walks, and one strikeout.

Monclova beat Laguna 10-8

Eugenio Velez (former Memphis-Quintana Roo) started at second base and moved to left field, batting third.  0-for-4 with one ground into double play.
Iker Franco (former Springfield-Quintana Roo) started as designated hitter and batted sixth.  0-for-3 with one RBI and one sac fly.
