Former Cardinals Playing In The Mexican League 4-27-17: Rainel Rosario Doubles, Walks, & Drives In Two Runs; Daric Barton Singles & Hits A Solo Home Run; Tyler Herron Strikes Out Eight & Allows Two Runs over Five Innings For The Win



Rainel Rosario (former Springfield-Saltillo) started in right field and batted third.  1-for-5 with one double, two RBIs, one walk, and three strikeouts.

Saltillo beat Mexico 9-0

Angel Castro (former Memphis-Monterrey) started and pitched five innings.  He allowed six hits, five runs (three earned), one home run, one walk, hit one batter, threw two wild pitches, and struck two out for the winning decision (3-0).  (p-s:84-50)(g/f:10-1)

Monterrey beat Durango 12-8

Tyler Herron (former Springfield-Quintana Roo) started and pitched five innings.  He allowed six hits, two earned runs, one home run, one walk, and struck eight out for the winning decision (1-2).  (p-s:92-61)(g/f:6-1)

Quintana Roo beat Veracruz 11-2

Daric Barton (former Peoria-Monclova) started at first base and batted sixth.  2-for-4 with one home run, one RBI, one run, one strikeout, one fielding error, and assisted in one double play.

Laguna beat Monclova 9-6

Francisco Rivera (former Palm Beach-Campeche) started at first base and batted eighth.  1-for-1 with one two-out RBI and two walks.

Campeche beat Leon 4-3 in 12 innings

Richy Pedroza (former Peoria-Aguascalientes) started at shortstop and batted ninth.  0-for-2 with one hit by pitch, one strikeout, and assisted in one double play.

Tijuana beat Aguascalientes 6-1
