Former Cardinals Playing In The Mexican League 4-1-17: Daric Barton Walks Twice & Hits A Three-Run Homer; Eugenio Velez Hits A Two-Run Homer; Niko Vasquez Singles Twice & Drives In One Run



Daric Barton (former Peoria-Monclova) started at first base and batted fifth.  1-for-3 with one home run, three two-out RBIs, two runs, two walks, and assisted in two double plays.

Mexico beat Monclova 17-10

Niko Vasquez (former Springfield-Leon) started at second base and batted third.  2-for-4 with one RBI, one run, one hit by pitch, two strikeouts, and assisted in one double play.

Leon beat Puebla 10-7

Eugenio Velez (former Memphis-Quintana Roo) started in left field and batted third.  1-for-5 with one home run, two RBIs, and one run.
Iker Franco (former Springfield-Quintana Roo) started as designated hitter and batted seventh.  2-for-4 at the plate.
Tyler Herron (former Springfield-Quintana Roo) started and pitched 4.1 innings.  He allowed eight hits, seven runs (six earned), two walks, and struck two out for the losing decision (0-2).  (p-s:97-60)(g/f:5-3)
