Former Cardinals Playing In The Mexican League 4-13-17: Angel Castro Strikes Out Three Over Seven Scoreless Innings For The Win; Luis Garcia Singles, Doubles, & Hits A Solo Home Run; Ivan Bellazetin Singles Twice & Drives In One Run



Luis Garcia (former New Haven-Mexico) started as designated hitter and batted fourth.  3-for-4 with one double, one home run, one RBI, and one run.

Mexico beat Yucatan 5-3

Ivan Bellazetin (former MiLB tryout-Tabasco) started at second base and moved to shortstop, batting eighth.  2-for-3 with one RBI, one stolen base, one strikeout, one fielding error, and assisted in one double play.

Laguna beat Tabasco 7-4

Angel Castro (former Memphis-Monterrey) started and pitched seven innings. He allowed six hits, no runs, one walk, and struck three out for the winning decision (1-0).  (p-s:94-55)(g/f:8-4)

Monterrey beat Puebla 5-0

Daric Barton (former Peoria-Monclova) started at first base and batted sixth.  0-for-3 with one walk, one strikeout, one throwing error, and assisted in one double play.

Leon beat Monclova 4-0

Rainel Rosario (former Springfield-Saltillo) started in right field and batted fifth.  1-for-4 with one walk, one strikeout, and one fielding error.

Veracruz beat Saltillo 5-4

Francisco Rivera (former Palm Beach-Campeche) started at first base and batted ninth.  1-for-3 with one double, one run, one walk, and assisted in one double play.

Durango beat Campeche 6-5

Eugenio Velez (former Memphis-Quintana Roo) started in left field and batted leadoff.  0-for-3 with one walk, one strikeout, and one caught stealing/pickoff.
Tyler Herron (former Springfield-Quintana Roo) started and pitched five innings.  He allowed five hits, three earned runs, one home run, two walks, threw one wild pitch, and struck four out for the losing decision (0-2).  (p-s:89-58)(g/f:4-2)
